Policies for Using MTNA Discussion Boards

Welcome to the MTNA Discussion Boards. To provide a responsible service, MTNA requires that each person posting messages agree to these policies. MTNA has established the following guidelines in an effort to maintain professional and useful Discussion Boards. Your compliance with these guidelines is appreciated.

• All communication should be professional in nature, maintaining a civil tone at all times.

• Message(s) posted to a Discussion Boards must be appropriate for that particular group. Inappropriate postings should be brought to MTNA’s attention.

• You acknowledge that all posts made to these discussion groups express the views and opinions of the author and not MTNA, the discussion group administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

• The use of these Discussion Boards in an attempt to influence lesson prices may be in violation of anti-trust laws and is not allowed. Discussions about how to set fees or other such general discussions are allowed.

• The use of the MTNA Discussion Boards for illegal activities is prohibited.

• The use of these discussion groups for conducting private business or commercial activity is strictly prohibited. Commercial activities include, but are not limited to, promotional announcements, product-related press releases and advertising. Should such messages appear in the Discussion Boards, MTNA will not be held liable either directly or indirectly for damages that result from the use of this information. Such messages should be brought to MTNA’s attention immediately.

• The use of these Discussion Boards to defame or disparage another person is strictly prohibited. Defamatory, harassing, sexist, racist, obscene and other offensive communications are not acceptable in these discussion groups and could lead to legal liability for those engaging in such improper communications.

• These Discussion Boards may not be used to violate any MTNA membership rules, bylaws or code of ethics. Such violations may result in the termination of MTNA membership.

• The Discussion Boards are subject to periodic audit and monitoring by MTNA and/or its representatives.

• MTNA reserves the right to modify or change these guidelines without prior notice.
